Short Courses & Workshops

The ISA runs courses and workshops on a regular basis. These aim to bring the best of theoretical and applied statistics to academic, industrial and public service statisticians and statistics students. Young Statisticians’ Section of the Irish Statistical Association

The Young Statisticians’ Section of the Irish Statistical Association (Young-ISA) aims to create and cultivate a network of career-young statisticians across Ireland, statisticians in the early stages of their careers. The ISA established the Young-ISA to support social and professional opportunities for career-young statisticians within the ISA community.

The ISA is active in a wide range of areas both directly and indirectly pertaining to the study and application of statistics. 

Members of the Association are involved in a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses on offer from universities across Ireland with ISA members regularly publishing journal articles on statistics education at all levels.

To further postgraduate education and promote continuing professional development in statistics, the ISA run short courses and workshops on a regular basis, provide funding annually for such courses to each eligible third level university.
